Restaurant branding

SOLT | Restaurant
name and identity

About a project

The Marriott hotel's recently opened restaurant required a concept for its appearance, name, and placement. The chef, who is young but has already won awards, planned to use local, seasonal ingredients in his dishes, giving special emphasis to a fresh take on Lithuanian cooking. Customers noted that Lithuanian items are very similar to those from Scandinavia, therefore the restaurant's name and branding may also allude to this well-known cuisine.

Provided solution

The concept of my proposed name was born from plants and products used in Lithuania. I asked myself, What is very Lithuanian but not yet worn out, trivialized, and overused in tourist brochures promoting Lithuania? What could you say—that is so Lithuanian!

As is often the case, I did not find the concept where I was looking. The acronym for SOLT is SO LTithuanian. It is a Lithuanian-inspired name that sounds incredibly culinary due to its associations with salt, the most crucial balancing spice in all world cuisines.

Content in social media

make this post shorter, but in more sophisticated way: For social media communication, I offered engaging posts where visitors could challenge the chef. The chef accepts the best ones and implements them in his kitchen.
